With luck, the second time will be the charm for Nathaniel Wood, as he’s once again set to complete in London, England.

Wood (17-5) will face Charles Rosa (14-7) at UFC London on July 23, 2022, in a featherweight match-up. Both Wood and Iridium Sports Agency confirmed the booking on Thursday following an initial report by journalist Al Zullino.

It’s familiar territory for Nathaniel Wood, who had been booked to compete on the UFC London card on March 19. In the lead-up to that fight, Wood saw an opponent change after Liudvik Sholinian was forced off the card due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

While a new opponent was found, replacement Vince Morales was also forced to withdraw from the event, in his case due to illness. That left Wood without a fight, without enough time to secure yet another replacement.

Wood has not competed since an October 2020 loss to Casey Kenney at UFC 254.

Rosa will be looking to snap a two-fight skid when he makes the trip to London this July. The Massachusetts based fighter known as “Boston Strong” has dropped bouts to T.J. Brown and Damon Jackson, and is 2-3 in his last five.

UFC London — the second event at the O2 Arena in London, England for the UFC this year — will take place on July 23, 2022 with Tom Aspinall headlining. The British heavyweight will look to turn back dangerous wrestler Curtis Blaydes.

The following match-ups have been reported for the Fight Night card thus far:
