A week-long dry spell in terms of MMA action ended Friday, care of ONE Championship 158 — and for those still not satisfied, another MMA fix could be had care of iKON FC 3, airing on UFC Fight Pass on Friday night.
While the card wasn’t exactly stacked with big names, those keen to check out some of the sport’s potential future stars would likely be interested in the debut of Bo Nickal. The 26-year old Division I All-American wrestler had won three NCAA Division I national championships, three Big 10 conference championships, the U23 World Championships in 2019, and the U.S. national championships that same year.
In short, his wrestling pedigree was second to young, and with Nickal just about to hit his prime, it was certainly the right time for him to turn pro. As far as his MMA journey? Bo Nickal has been training at American Top Team, alongside none other than Jorge Masvidal — one of the names behind iKON FC.
Jorge Masvidal’s iKON FC 3 takes place on Friday, June 3, 2022 at the Greater Richmond Convention Center in Richmond, Virginia. The event streams live on UFC Fight Pass, starting at 9PM ET. Full results can be found below.
