“Congratulations to [Mike Chandler] On his victory at UFC 274. Had lots of fun in there. you fans are F*ckin’ wild I love this sh*t! Feels good to be back & hungry again. We were just getting started. Best Of Luck In Your Next Fight – Champ #ForTheLoveOfTheGame -CSO- – @TonyFergusonXT”
In the first round of their featured bout on the UFC 274 main card, Ferguson seemed to have Chandler’s timing down and stifled the latter’s attack with pinpoint accuracy. He even went as far as to drop Chandler causing “Iron” Mike to seemingly abandon his game plan and swing for the knockout.
In the second round Chandler landed a massive front kick that caught Ferguson right on the jaw ending his night. The broadcast booth named it the greatest front kick knockout they had ever seen topping Anderson Silva’s KO of Vitor Belfort at UFC 126.
Following the fight, Ferguson was transferred to a nearby hospital where CT scans came back negative, and he was released according to the UFC.
Chandler received a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus for his knockout of Tony Ferguson at UFC 274. He also picked up $20,000 worth of Bitcoin care of a Fan Bonus of the Night.
