Women’s bantamweight action is headed to Singapore as part of UFC 275 this June.
Joselyne Edwards (10-4) will face Ramona Pascual (6-3) at the event on June 11. The All Star Sport’s John Hyon Ko was first to report the news. Edwards later confirmed the booking on social media.
Edwards will be looking to snap a two-fight skid in the fight. After kicking off her UFC career with a win over Wu Yanan, Panama’s Edwards has dropped back-to-back fights against Karol Rosa and Jessica-Rose Clark. All three of her octagon appearances have gone the distance.
Pascual joined the promotion on short notice back in February, losing a unanimous decision to Brazil’s Josiane Nunes. Prior to that, Pascual had won three straight, including her debut with Invicta FC this past January. Pascual is the first female fighter to represent Hong Kong in the UFC.
UFC 275 takes place on June 11, 2022 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore. The event is topped by two title fights: at light heavyweight, Glover Teixeira defends his title opposite Jiri Prochazka, while Valentina Shevchenko once again places her women’s flyweight belt on the line, this time against Taila Santos.
The following bouts have been reported for June’s PPV event:
- Glover Teixeira (c) vs. Jiří Procházka – for the UFC light heavyweight championship
