One fight has been added, and another fight altered for the upcoming Invicta FC 47 card on May 11.
Headlined by a previously announced strawweight title fight between Emily Ducote and Alesha Zappitella, the event is set for the Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kansas. Joining the strawweight showdown atop the marquee will be another 115lb match-up, in Fatima Kline vs. Sidney Trillo.
Kline (1-0), who has an extensive grappling background, made her professional debut last year at Invicta on AXS TV. Not surprisingly, the end came via submission, with Kline catching Ariana Melendez with a rear-naked choke inside the first round.
Trillo (2-0) has two wins under the LFA banner, both in 2021. As an amateur, she competed for Combate Global and appeared on the ill-fated Liddell vs. Ortiz 3 card for Golden Boy.
In addition to that newly announced fight, another bout at Invicta FC 47 has been altered. With Lisa “Battle Angel” Verzosa forced out of a planned match-up against Serena DeJesus (4-2), Brittney Cloudy (4-3) is stepping in to take the fight.
Cloudy has lost both her fights under the Invicta FC banner, but is riding a two-fight win streak into the bout. Most recently, she finished Annette Nichols inside of a round back in January at LFA 122.
DeJesus has won three straight, and holds back-to-back wins over UFC veterans Elizabeth Phillips and Lauren Mueller.
