Bellator MMA has a pair of big events coming up, and the promotional push is in full swing.
On Monday, the pre-fight press conference for Bellator 277, which goes down at the SAP Center in San Jose, California this Friday, April 15, and Bellator 279, which takes place on April 23, goes down in Los Angeles, California.
The big names will be on hand: A.J. McKee and Patricio Pitbull, who run it back later this week for the featherweight title. Plus Vadim Nemkov and Corey Anderson, who close out the promotion’s light heavyweight grand prix that same night.
That’s just Bellator 277 alone. Bellator 279, the second night of back-to-back shows in Honolulu, Hawaii, is expected to feature Cris Cyborg vs. Arlene Blencowe 2, and the first few bouts in the promotion’s bantamweight grand prix, including an interim title fight between ex-champ Juan Archuleta and rising contender Raufeon Stots.
In other words, it’s a big month for Bellator, with some of their biggest stars in action. Counting Bellator 278, topped by Juliana Velasquez defending her flyweight title against Liz Carmouche, a full five titles will be contested this month.
