CES MMA was in action on Friday night, with the New England-based promotion hosting a middleweight title fight atop CES 67 at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, CT.
That main event held plenty of promise, as it featured champ Billy Goff, a top prospect in the division who had already claimed a couple of wins under the Bellator MMA banner, making his first title defense against Justin Sumter. For his part, Sumter was 1-1 in Bellator, and competing for the first time since 2019, when he’d submitted Albert Tadevosyan at CES 64. Sumter had also appeared twice on Dana White’s Contender Series, losing to both Ian Heinisch and Maki Pitolo.
Also on the CES 67 card, Eddy George looked to improve to 5-0, and potentially land himself a spot on this year’s Contender Series run.
Full results from CES 67, which airs live exclusively on UFC Fight Pass on Friday, April 1, 2022 can be found below.
