Legacy Fighting Alliance returned to Commerce, California on Friday night for its latest offering, LFA 127, topped by a middleweight title bout.
The headlining fight found Ozzy Diaz returning to the LFA cage for the first time since 2020, up against the much more experienced Bruno Assis with the vacant 185lb title on the line. Diaz had previously competed for Bellator, going 2-0 there in 2019, and was looking to make the jump to the next level (potentially a full time gig in a major promotion) by claiming gold on Friday.
Assis would no doubt have similar ideas. The Brazilian entered the fight off three straight wins, and appeared to have moved past a rough patch that started with a loss on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2018.
LFA 127 takes place at The Commerce Casino & Hotel in Commerce, California on Friday, March 25, 2022. The main card of the event will stream live on UFC Fight Pass.
