This year’s PFL 1 card is set to go down on April 20, kicking off the Professional Fighters League’s 2022 season. And a number of big names now have their match-ups set.
Returning to the PFL this year is Anthony Pettis, who was shut out in 2021 after becoming one of the promotion’s biggest free agent signings to date. Pettis (24-12) dropped fights to Clay Collard and Raush Manfio last year, and has drawn Myles Price for his 2022 return.
Price (11-7) is coming off a win over Peter Queally in Bellator, but has not competed since that February 2019 date.
That match-up, and most of the card, were announced by the league on Tuesday.
Also competing on the PFL 1 card, which features lightweights and light heavyweights, is Jeremy Stephens (28-19, 1NC). “Lil Heathen” will make his promotional debut opposite Collard (20-9, 1NC). Collard made it to the post-season last year, only to be bounced from the tournament by Raush Manfio.
Another former UFC fighter, Don Madge, will make his promotional debut at this year’s PFL 1 card. Madge (10-3-1), who has not lost a fight since 2015, will face the aforementioned Manfio (15-3) in the main event.
Light heavyweight action will see last year’s champ Antonio Carlos Junior (13-5, 2NC) return against Delan Monte (8-1).
