UFC veteran Michael Johnson returns to action at UFC 274, hoping to snap his four-fight losing streak.
Combate was first to report the news that Johnson will fight Alan Patrick on April 9 at UFC 274. Partick would confirm the news on his Instagram.
Johnson (19-17) will be looking to snap the longest losing streak of his UFC career. The longtime UFC veteran fought once in 2021 against fellow UFC veteran Clay Guida and lost a unanimous decision. Prior to that, he dropped fights to Thiago Moises, Stevie Ray, and Josh Emmett. His last win was against Artem Lobov at UFC Fight Night: Volkan vs. Smith.
Like his opponent, Patrick (15-3-1) will be looking to snap his own losing streak, the first losing streak of his 13-year career. The Brazilian known as “Nuguette” returned from a two-year layoff in 2020 and lost a dominant unanimous decision to Bobby Green. In his last outing, he was inadvertently poked by Mason Jones and could not continue.
UFC 274 takes place on May 7, 2022, at a location and venue yet to be announced. However, the event is rumored to take place in Phoenix, Arizona.
