After reality show Big Brother teased cast members for its upcoming celebrity season, the cast of this year’s Celebrity Big Brother 3, airing on CBS, has been officially announced. Among those named, former Strikeforce and UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Miesha Tate has been revealed as a competitor of the long-running reality television series.

For Big Brother, this is an exciting and rather surprising addition to the cast. Miesha Tate is a familiar name for many fight fans and could bring that audience with her to the show. With her fight against Lauren Murphy coming up in May, it could draw some eyes to the reality tv show — and expose her to a new fanbase at the same time.
Tate will look to stay in the Big Brother house a little longer than UFC Hall of Famer and Light Heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell. “The Ice Man” only lasted two episodes in Season 1 before being “evicted” from the reality show.
The first episode of Celebrity Big Brother 3 will air February 2 on CBS and Paramount Plus.
Miesha Tate returns to the octagon on May 14, 2022 against Murphy. She last competed in November, dropping a unanimous decision to Ketlen Vieira in the main event of UFC Vegas 43. Tate returned to competition in 2021 after retiring in 2016. She’s posted a 1-1 record since her return.
