The main event of UFC 270 is a unification bout for the heavyweight title as Francis Ngannou defends his belt against interim champion Ciryl Gane. After losing two straight fights, Ngannou has strung together five straight knockouts to claim the heavyweight crown. Gane is 7-0 in the UFC with four finishes, having dismantled Derrick Lewis in his last appearance. All but two writers picked Ngannou.
The co-main event is the third fight between flyweight champion Brandon Moreno and Deiveson Figueiredo. Their first bout ended in a draw followed by a Moreno submission. Moreno is 4-0-2 since returning to the UFC. Figueiredo’s two fights against Moreno ended a five-fight win streak. Moreno was picked by five of eight writers.
Michel Pereira and Andre Fialho battle on the main card. Pereira and his exciting style have won three consecutive fights since taking two losses, inncluding a win over Niko Price last time out. Fialho is making his promotional debut, riding a four-fight knockout streak. All but two writers picked Pereira.
A great featherweight fight takes place as Cody Stamann faces Said Nurmagomedov. Stamann is looking to snap a two-fight losing streak while Nurmagomedov is 3-1 in the Octagon. All but two writers picked Nurmagomedov.
Opening up the UFC 270 main card will be Trevin Giles and Michael Morales. Giles had a three-fight win streak snapped in his last fight, losing by knockout in July. Morales is 12-0 in his career and set to make his promotional debut. He has stoppages in all but two of his fights. Giles was picked by five of eight writers.
