Francis Ngannou has had plenty of outside distractions to contend with ahead of UFC 270. By the time Friday’s morning’s official weigh-in rolls around, however, those outside factors will, hopefully, be a distant memory. Instead, all that will matter is his title unification bout with Ciryl Gane.
Gone will be talk of his contract. Gone will be the drama surrounding his split from MMA Factory, where he and Gane were once teammates. And gone will be talk of sparring footage, backstage snubs, and Tyson Fury.
Flyweight champion Brandon Moreno, facing Deiveson Figueiredo in the co-main event, has had similar distractions. Talk of his friendship with Henry Cejudo falling through, with Cejudo helping train Figueiredo ahead of UFC 270, has more or less overshadowed the fight itself. But it’s important to remember, it’s not Cejudo who will be in the cage on Saturday. It’s “The God of War,” a man Moreno has faced twice before.
Official weigh-ins for UFC 270 take place Friday morning in Anaheim, California. Full results can be found below.
