Bellator’s second event of 2022 has begun to fill out.
Joining a previously reported welterweight match-up between Neiman Gracie and Logan Storley, which will serve as the Bellator 274 co-main event, is another key 170lb pairing. In the night’s co-headliner, #8-ranked former champ Andrey Koreshkov (24-4) will face Mukhamed Berkamov (15-1).
Bellator MMA officials announced the news via press release on Tuesday.
Koreshkov had been expected to face former UFC standout Rustam Khabilov at Bellator Moscow back in October. However, with Khabilov pulling out of the fight, it appears plans have changed for the ex-welterweight champ. Koreshkov won both of his fights in 2021 after sitting out all of 2020 — but only one of those two contests came inside the Bellator cage.
In that fight, his most recent, Koreshkov won a unanimous decision against Sabah Homasi.
Berkamov made his promotional debut in October, submitting Jaleel Willis at Bellator 268. The 27-year old has not lost a fight since 2013 — his one and only loss as a pro.
Bellator 274 will also see #6-ranked women’s flyweight Veta Arteaga (6-4) take on Keri Taylor Melendez (5-0), while ranked heavyweights Said Sowma (8-2) and Davion Franklin (4-0) face off. That pair happen to be tied at #8 in the heavyweight division rankings.
Bellator 274 is set to take place on February 19, 2022 at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT. The following bouts have been confirmed for the card by the promotion:
Neiman Gracie vs. Logan Storley – welterweight main event
