Andre Muniz is a veteran of the 2018 and 2019 seasons of the Contender Seires. Muniz, who has been practicing jiu-jistu since he was a teenager, has 12 first round submissions out of his 14 submission wins.
Andre Muniz has some of the best submissions within the UFC. In Andre’s most recent win, and by far the most impressive one, he finished former UFC Middleweight Title Challenger as well as a former World Jiu Jitsu and ADCC Champion in Jacare Souza.
And Muniz was able to submit Souza in the first round, snapping his arm in the process and effectively retiring him from the UFC.
Muniz is a fighter that has multiple submissions in his arsenal and has finished opponents with triangle chokes, brabo chokes, guillotine chokes, arm triangle chokes, rear naked chokes and of course, arm bars.
