Airing Friday via tape delay was ONE Championship’s NextGen II, filmed last month in Singapore, and featuring two featherweight kickboxing world grand prix alternate bouts.
Prior to those alternate bouts, however, a muay thai showdown opened the card. That saw China’s Han Zi Hao up against Victor Pinto of France, with Zi Hao looking to make it three in a row under the ONE banner. He’d also be looking to start the night off on the right foot for China, who had three fighters on the NextGen II card.
On the MMA side of things, ONE regular Agilan Thani returned to action, taking on Japan’s Hiroyuki Tetsuka. “The Alligator” was looking to bounce back from a loss to Tyler McGuire last year, in what was his first fight of 2021. Tetsuka was also looking to bounce back from a loss, to Murad Ramazanov in 2020.
The main event of the ONE: NextGen II card was an all-Thailand Muay Thai showdown, between #1-ranked Saemapetch Fairtex and Rittewada.
Full results from ONE: NextGen II can be found below. Where available, a livestream of the action can be viewed above.
