UFC 268 is official, as is the main event between Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington.
And it’s a good thing, too. At Friday morning’s official weigh-in, back-up fighter Vicente Luque hit the scales last, and actually missed weight. Coming in at 172.2lbs, Luque would have been a tough sell in a title fight (and wouldn’t have qualified anyway).
Two other fighters missed the mark on Friday: Contender Series winner CJ Vergara came in heavy for his octagon debut, at flyweight. And LFA alum Bruno Souza, who trains under Lyoto Machida, was over for a fight with Melsik Baghdasaryan. In Souza’s case, he was stepping in on short notice, so perhaps a little leeway is acceptable there.
Regardless, the full card is official. Both Souza and Vergara will forfeit 20% of their purse for missing the mark however.
Full weigh-in results can be found below, as well as a gallery of highlights from the official weigh-in. The ceremonial weigh-ins go down this afternoon, and we’ll have highlights as soon as they happen. A live stream of the ceremonial weigh-in can be found below as well.
