In a flyweight showdown on the UFC Vegas 41 preliminary card, Daniel Lacerda Da Silva (Daniel Da Silva) made his octagon debut against Jeff Molina.
With Molina’s grit and heart, combined with Da Silva’s flashy, explosive fighting style, the bout held plenty of promise on paper. And it delivered.
Lacerda Da Silva opened up right away with a series of kicks. Molina returned a kick and Da Silva caught the leg and pressed Molina to the cage. Da Silva was able to turn to the back and jumped on with both hooks in. He was sliding off as they went to the mat however, and almost locked in an armbar. Molina escaped and got into the guard of his opponent. Molina landed a barrage of hammer fists and Da Silva threw up another armbar but failed. Da Silva was still stuck off his back and Molina ended the round in top position, from which he landed excellent ground and pound right to the bell.
High paced action coming at ya!

In round two Da Silva went back to the kicks. He threw a blind leg kick and Molina countered with a right hand dropping Da Silva. Molina jumped on Da Silva and took his back. He flattened out Da Silva, landing a bunch of unanswered punches until finally ref Keith Peterson stepped in.
