Bellator MMA returns to the SSE Arena in London this Friday, bringing with it one of the biggest rematches in promotional history.
In the main event of Bellator 267, former champ Douglas Lima will throw down with British striker Michael “Venom” Page, a rematch of their 2019 welterweight grand prix bout. Ever the snake charmer, luring his opponents in with hypnotic movement then striking in a heartbeat, Page (19-1) will be looking for vengeance against the only man to beat him in the cage. For Lima (32-9) it’s a chance to snap a two-fight skid, albeit in two high-profile title fights against Gegard Mousasi and Yaroslav Amovsov.
On Thursday morning, all fighters made weight for Friday’s event. There was one hiccup, however, as the return of Charlie Leary against Benjamin Brander was cancelled due to COVID-19 protocols. Brander had been stepping up on short notice to replace Gavin Hughes.
