A pair of UFC featherweights will be looking to continue their win streaks when they meet this October.
The promotion recently announced via press release that Alex Caceres will fight Seung Woo Choi on October 23. Marvin Vettori vs. Paulo Costa is scheduled to headline the event.
Caceres (18-12-1) is currently on the best win streak of his long-running UFC career, dating back to 2012. “Bruce LeeRoy” kicked off his four-fight win streak by defeating Steven Peterson in 2019. Next, he derailed Chase Hooper’s hype train and then submitted Austin Springer to go 2-0 in 2020. In his most recent win, Caceres snapped Kevin Croom’s win streak back in February.
Choi (10-3) has been on a roll since dropping his first two UFC fights. The South Korean is 2-0 in 2021 already. In February, he defeated Youssef Zalal via unanimous decision, and then most recently in June, he defeated Julian Erosa via TKO, getting his first UFC finish.
In June, Caceres earned a place in the featherweight top 15, but dropped from the rankings a month later.
No location, venue, or broadcast plan has been announced for the October 23 event, but UFC President Dana White said that all Fight Nights will be staying at the Apex in Las Vegas, NV.
