A lightweight fight that promises fireworks has been added to the UFC’s December 4 Fight Night event.
Explosive strikers Rafael Fiziev and Brad Riddell have been booked to take part in the card, with both men entering off impressive wins. MMA Junkie was first to report news of the pairing, shortly after Fiziev himself revealed that he’d received a bout agreement.
Fiziev (10-1) has posted a 4-1 record inside the octagon to date, and is undefeated since a loss in his promotional debut. During that span, he has put together wins over Alex White, Marc Diakiese, Renato Moicano, and Bobby Green. A Kazakhstani-Kyrgyzstani fighting out of Thailand, Fiziev has impressively earned post-fight bonuses in his last three fights. The 28-year old earned Fight of the Night honors against Diakiese and Green, and earned a Performance of the Night bonus for knocking out Moicano.
Brad “Quake” Riddell (10-1), sporting an identical record to his opponent, has been no less impressive. The New Zealand native is undefeated inside the octagon, and is coming off a thrilling war with Drew Dober at UFC 263 which earned Fight of the Night honors.
In other words, the probability of a post-fight bonus being awarded in this one is high.
The UFC’s December 4 card is expected to take place at the Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, though no official announcement has been made. The event currently has the following bouts attached to it:
Alex Perez vs. Matt Schnell
Claudio Puelles vs. Chris Gruetzemacher
Rafael Fiziev vs. Brad Riddell
