Kayla Harrison is headed to her second straight PFL tournament final.
At Thursday’s PFL Playoffs 2 (PFL 8) at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, Harrison was once again dominant. Her victim this time out was City Kickboxing’s Genah Fabian, whose height and reach advantage was no match for Harrison’s judo and vicious ground n’ pound.
The first-round TKO finish makes Harrison a heavy favorite in the finale against relative unknown Taylor Guardado. For her part, Guardado went the distance with short-notice replacement Marina Morais, winning a split decision. Morais stepped into Thursday’s semi-final after #1 seed Larissa Pacheco missed weight for the fight.
On the heavyweight side, Ante Delija and Bruno Cappelozza are set for a rematch in this season’s final. The pair first met during the 2021 regular season, with Cappelozza winning via knockout. On Thursday, Delija went the distance with Denis Goltsov, while Cappelozza earned yet another finish against Jamelle Jones.
