A pair of UFC welterweights will be looking to get back in the win column in July.
MMA Junkie was the first to report the news that Mounir Lazzez will fight Niklas Stolze on July 31 at a yet-to-be-announced UFC event. Both fighters would confirm the booking on social meda.
Lazzez (10-2) burst onto the scene last year on ‘Fight Island’ when he defeated Abdul Razak Alhassan via a unanimous decision, showing everyone how tough he was. “The Sniper,” however, would suffer a loss in his most recent fight, again on ‘Fight Island.’ He would lose via TKO to a returning Warlley Alves in January.
Stolze (12-4) will be looking for his first octagon win in July. He was defeated by Ramazan Emeev in his UFC debut last year at UFC Fight Night: Whittaker vs. Till. “Green Mask” would have his four-fight win streak snapped in his most recent loss.
The UFC’s July 31 event does not have an official location, venue, or broadcast plan announced. No main event has been announced.
