A pair of UFC flyweights will look to get back into the win column in August.
John Hyon Ko was the first to report the news that Molly McCann will fight Ji Yeon Kim on August 14 at UFC Fight Night: Till vs. Brunson. There are rumors that August 14 will be the UFC’s return to London. Kim would confirm the fight booking on social media.
McCann (10-4) is looking to snap the first losing streak of her career. She had her three-fight win streak snapped last year on ‘Fight Island’ against Taila Santos in her only fight in 2020. “Meatball” fought Lara Procópio at UFC Fight Night: Overeem vs. Volkov in February but lost another unanimous decision.
It will be just about a year since Kim (9-3) will have last competed. “Fire Fist” is coming off a unanimous decision loss to No. 10 ranked flyweight Alexa Grasso at UFC Fight Night: Smith vs. Rakić. Before her loss, she defeated Nadia Kassem via TKO, sending her out of the UFC. Kim has missed weight in two of her last three fights.
The UFC’s August 14 event does not have an official location, venue, or broadcast plan announced. The following bouts have been reported for the Fight Night card:
- Darren Till vs. Brunson
- Molly McCann vs. Ji Yeon Kim
