A promising middleweight showdown was featured on the televised preliminary card at UFC 262. That scrap featured Jordan Wright up against Jamie Pickett, with both men looking to bounce back from recent losses.
In the end, “The Beverly Hills Ninja” Wright put on an absolutely stunning performance.
Wright opened the affair up with a fake spinning kick. Pickett landed a nasty body kick and then rushed forward, throwing punches and eventually shooting for a takedown. That turned out to be a critical mistake. Wright sprawled and defended the takedown perfectly. He started unloading elbows, which hurt Pickett very badly. Wright started to throw punches, which forced Pickett to cover up.
Pickett got back to his feet, but Wright wasn’t stopping the offense. Wright rushed Pickett with non-stop combos and action. Wright clinched Pickett and landed knees, which eventually dropped Pickett. Wright pounced on his opponent, and Pickett eventually turtled up — and just like that the fight was over. The referee gave Pickett every opportunity to fight back, but Wright simply overwhelmed him.
OH MY GOODNESS 😳

Wright bounced back from his second professional loss in style and kept his 100% finish rate. “The Beverly Hills Ninja” is must-watch television. Unfortunately for Pickett, he has lost his first two UFC fights and maybe fighting for his job next time out, if he gets one.
Official Result: Jordan Wright def. Jamie Pickett via TKO (punches), Round 1, 1:04
