UFC 261 was set to usher fans back into the building on Saturday, and welcomed them with a full three title fights.
In the main event, Kamaru Usman would take on Jorge Masvidal for the second time, a rematch of their July 2020 meeting on Fight Island. Masvidal’s second straight shot at gold had more to do with showmanship than sportsmanship, but it felt like a popular choice with fans.
Far more compelling match-ups were found in the card’s other two title fights. In one, Valentina Shevchenko put her flyweight title on the line against ex-strawweight champ Jessica Andrade. In the other, strawweight queen Weili Zhang went up against former champion Rose Namajunas.
Weigh-ins for UFC 261 go down Friday, starting at 9AM ET. Cageside Press will be on the scene to bring you updates. Check below for results.
All fighters made weight Friday morning, and all three title fights are official.
