ONE Championship’s third card, and final tape-delayed event prior to returning to live action, aired Wednesday night on TNT. Atop the ONE on TNT III card was former UFC standout John Lineker, looking for his third straight win under the ONE banner.
The event was more than just a spotlight for Lineker, who was taking on American Troy Worthen, however. Also on the card, former ONE Championship featherweight title holder Marat Gafurov, taking on South Korea’s Ok Rae Yoon. After Eddie Alvarez found himself disqualified due to illegal strikes against Iuri Lapicus earlier this month at ONE on TNT I, the “Underground King” had been lined up for a shot at the winner of Gafurov vs. Yoon, which was being contested in ONE’s lightweight division.
And in a striking lover’s dream, Muay Thai action saw Nieky Holzken go up against John Wayne Parr.
