One of Bellator’s brightest blossoming stars will return to the cage on May 7 at Bellator 258. First reported by Maxim, 22-year old Valerie Loureda (3-0) is set to return to action against Hannah Guy (2-1) on the already stacked card, including the debuts of Anthony Johnson and Yoel Romero, plus a bantamweight title fight that sees Sergio Pettis challenge champ Juan Archuleta.
Loureda was last in action versus Tara Graff, who competes this weekend on Bellator 256. Things got heated between Graff and Loureda, as Graff had plenty to say about the “Instagram model,” with Loureda having the last laugh after a brutal KO victory.
Loureda also landed herself a top 10 spot in the division with newly announced Bellator rankings. Considering she’s still just 22-years old and juggling mainstream success, the sky is the limit for Loureda.
Hannah Guy, meanwhile, will have to deal with the spotlight that follows Loureda. Guy’s last performance was a submission victory in 2020. Her only loss came via split decision to one of Loureda’s main training partners, Kayla Hracho.
Bellator 258 currently breaks down as follows:
