At long last, Bellator MMA is returning to action, kicking off their 2021 with Bellator 255 on Friday night. The event will mark the promotion’s debut on Showtime, and is topped by a featherweight grand prix semifinal bout featuring Patricio Pitbull defending his 145lb title against Emmanuel Sanchez.
The fight will be the pair’s second meeting, following a 2018 title fight that saw Pitbull (Patricio Freire) retain his title. The winner will go on to the million dollar final, where undefeated phenom AJ McKee awaits.
Weigh-ins for Bellator 255 took place Thursday in Uncasville, Connecticut. The event airs live on Showtime this Friday night, as well as on multiple online platforms, including right here on Cageside Press for U.S. and Canadian viewers.
Ceremonial weigh-ins kick off at 11AM ET — they can be viewed above.
