Everything went more or less according to plan at Friday’s UFC 260 weigh-in.
All fighters made weight for the event save one: Fabio Cherant, who took his fight against Alonzo Menifield at just three days’ notice. Cherant came in just 0.5lbs over the light heavyweight limit, and will forfeit 20% of his purse — but the show, and the fight, will go on.
The main event stars, meanwhile, have a 29 pound spread between them. While heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic came in at a relatively trim 234lbs for his rematch with Francis Ngannou, “The Predator” hit the scales at 263lbs, just two pounds shy of the limit.
