ONE Championship’s third Fists of Fury card aired Friday, with a lightweight kickboxing title fight topping the event.
Broadcast via tape delay, the show featured a headliner between ONE Lightweight Kickboxing World Champion Regian Eersel and challenger Mustapha Haida, the #2 ranked fighter in the division. In the co-main event, meanwhile, it was ONE Atomweight Kickboxing World Champion Janet Todd, looking to make her first foray into another discipline for ONE. This time, she’d be up against Alma Juniku in a Muay Thai contest.
The remainder of the ONE: Fists of Fury III card was comprised of MMA action, with Brazil’s Alex Silva, the former ONE strawweight world champion, leading the way. He was set to take on Japan’s Hiroba Minowa, winner of five straight contests. “Little Rock” Silva, meanwhile, was coming off a failed attempt to regain his title against Joshua Pacio is January 2020 — making Fists of Fury III his first time competing in the pandemic.
