Tonight’s UFC Vegas 20 card has taken another hit. After losing a pair of fights earlier this week, the latest casualty is Angela Hill vs. Ashley Yoder.
Promotion officials announced the bout was off early Saturday afternoon. Hill vs. Yoder had been expected to feature on the event’s main card.
All is not lost for Hill vs. Yoder, however. The bout, forced off Saturday’s show due to COVID-19 protocols, will be rescheduled for March 13. That’s the Edwards vs. Muhammad Fight Night event.
The UFC did not elaborate on the nature of the COVID-19 protocols in question, or whether a fighter or one of their corner’s had tested positive for the coronavirus.
Hill (12-9) and Yoder (8-6) were added to the UFC Vegas 20 card just last week. Both fighters made weight successfully Friday morning. The duo were meeting in a rematch of their 2017 encounter, which saw Hill earn a unanimous decision victory.
The UFC Vegas 20 card will move forward with just nine fights. The main event sees heavyweights Jairzinho Rozenstruik and Ciryl Gane face off.
