When the dust cleared at UFC Vegas 18, the carnage was real. In total, among other suspensions, seven different fighters faced the typical maximum of 180 day suspensions due to injuries sustained in the cage. The most notable of those names is Alistair Overeem, who lost a lopsided bout with Alexander Volkov by TKO. During the fight he appears to have suffered a fracture of his nasal bone and will need to have that cleared by a ear, nose, and throat doctor before returning. That suspension could also be lessened by early doctor clearance.
Also worthy of note, six fighters faced no medical suspension, which is a much higher number than typical. Unsurprising, both winners from the main and co-main event were among them. Alexander Volkov took little damage in his bout with Alistair Overeem, and Frankie Edgar hardly had a chance to land a strike on Cory Sandhagen. Others facing no suspension were Lara Procopio, Molly McCann, Martin Day, and Ode Osbourne.
