Former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski (30-19, 2NC) will look to make it three straight wins when he takes on England’s Tom Aspinall (9-2) next month.
On Tuesday, UFC officials announced the heavyweight booking via social media. The fight will see Arlovski looking to break back into the UFC rankings, while Aspinall will be faced with the toughest test of his career to date.
For the British fighter, who arrived in the UFC in 2020, it will also be a chance for a third straight win inside the octagon. Aspinall’s previous victories have come over Jake Collier and Alan Baudot. Overall, Aspinall has won five straight in MMA.
Arlovski, now 41, has been competing in mixed martial arts for two full decades. In 2020, he went a perfect 2-0 with victories over PFL standout Philipe Lins and highly-touted Canadian heavyweight Tanner Boser. Both fights saw “The Pitbull” earn a unanimous decision.
