The Bellator 251 official weigh-in went down Wednesday morning, followed by a ceremonial weigh-in and photo op. The card, of course, was built around the arrival of one man: Former UFC light heavyweight contender Corey Anderson.
While Anderson, the winner of The Ultimate Fighter 19 at 205lbs, could barely seem to get the time of day from his old promotion, the arrival of “Overtime” shored up a growing division for Bellator. One that, if not better than the UFC’s light heavyweight division in the wake of Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones leaving, was certainly competitive.
Anderson now joins the likes of champ Vadim Nemkov, Ryan Bader, Phil Davis, Lyoto Machida, Christian Edwards, Liam McGeary, Karl Albrektsson, and Julius Anglickas, among others. With a win over Manhoef on Thursday, however, he could potentially leap-frog the list straight into a title shot against Nemkov.
Check below for full results from the Bellator 251 official weigh-in. The ceremonial weigh-in video kicks off at 11AM ET.
