Bellator 250 goes down Thursday, with one of the most intriguing fights of the year topping the card. In the main event, the vacant middleweight title will be on the line when 170lb champ Douglas Lima moves up to take on Gegard Mousasi.
Lima’s rise to stardom has been something to behold, and he seemed to finally hit his stride in the welterweight grand prix. Mousasi, meanwhile, is a former champ and legend of the sport who at 35 still appears to be at his peak.
With the pair meeting Thursday night (the event airs live on Bellator’s new home, CBS Sports Network), Wednesday meant weigh-in day. The ceremonial weigh-in video can be viewed above. Results are below.
Two fighters missed weight for the event. Flyweight Veta Arteaga was just north of 126lbs, missing weight by 0.2lbs. That probably won’t hurt her image moving forward too much. However, Toby Misech was well over the 137lb limit for his fight against promotional newcomer Jared Scoggins.
