Japan’s RIZIN Fighting Federation was back in action Sunday, with young star Tenshin Nasukawa (37-0 Kickboxing, 4-0 MMA) once against topping the bill. The agile and exhilarating kickboxer was getting one of the toughest tests of his undefeated career at RIZIN 24, going up against Kouzi (Koji Tanaka), a multi-time, multi-promotion champion who has been competing for over a decade. Kouzi won all three of his kickboxing bouts in 2019, making this a real challenge for 22-year old Tenshin.
In the penultimate fight of the evening, RIZIN bantamweight champion Kai Asakura was facing Shoji Maruyama in a non-title bout. Maruyama, a DEEP and Pancrase veteran, was making his RIZIN debut at the event.
Also on the card, strawweight standout Rena Kubota, taking on Emi Tomimatsu.
The RIZIN 24 card streams live online via RIZIN Live. Both paid and free streaming (limited) options are available. The event kicks off at 2:30AM ET. Check below for results.
