Featherweights Brian Moore and Simone D’anna are the latest addition to the Bellator 247 card.
Cageside Press has confirmed with sources that the pair will collide on the preliminary card of the October 1 event, which is set to take place in Milan, Italy. For Moore (12-7), it will be a trip into enemy territory, as D’anna (7-2) will be fighting at home.
Italian fighter D’anna will be competing in the Bellator MMA cage for the first time since 2018 at the event. While he’s 0-1 inside the Bellator cage, D’Anna has won his last three fights. In recent outings, he’s been competing for Invictus Arena and Venator FC.
Ireland’s Briane Moore, meanwhile, is looking to make it two in a row to start October. Moore was lined up for a fight with Toby Misech last September, but was forced to withdraw. Which means it will have been over a year on the sidelines for “The Pikeman” by the time he steps back in the cage. In his most recent outing in May 2019, Moore earned a unanimous decision win over Son Le Binh.
Bellator 247, which goes down live from the Allianz Cloud in Milan, Italy, is expected to be headlined by a welterweight bout featuring Paul “Semtex” Daley and Derek Anderson.
