Scott Askham will face Mamed Khalidov for the second time at KSW 55 next month.
Poland’s KSW has made inroads in Europe, particularly at home, and in the U.K. and Croatia. Askham (19-4) has been a big part of that. The British middleweight earned the promotion’s 185lb title last May, then faced a former champ in Mamed Khalidov (34-7-2) in December in a non-title, catchweight bout.
That fight, at KSW 52, saw Khalidov returning from retirement. Now, it’s an immediate rematch for the pair. Only this time, the title will be on the line.
It's time for a HUGE REMATCH! #KSW55 has a main event!

Currently, Askham sits on a five-fight win streak, that began immediately after his release from the UFC. Askham went 2-4 inside the octagon from 2014 to 2017, after starting his career at 12-0 in organizations like BAMMA and Cage Warriors.
Khalidov has lost three straight, including his loss to Askham back in December. Prior to retiring, he had lost back-to-back Champion vs. Champion fights with Thomasz Narkun.
Up to those losses, however, the Chechen fighter had won 14 straight fights, including wins over Kendall Grove, Melvin Manhoef, Jesse Taylor, Luke Barnatt, and others.
KSW 55 is set to take place on October 10, and will air live on PPV via KSWTV. Karolina Wójcik vs. Sylwia Juśkiewicz at strawweight is also expected to feature on the card in Warsaw, Poland.
