Prediction
Khizriev is someone I think has a skillset to make it in the UFC. On the other hand, Shiguemoto has talent but also has a lot of questionable tendencies. So far, Shiguemoto has shown a bit more with his striking offensively than Khizriev. That said, Shiguemoto is flat-footed which will allow Khizriev to chop at his legs using low kicks. Shiguemoto also doesn’t seem to eat strikes all that well so there are openings for Khizriev on the feet. The biggest path to victory is for Khizriev to use his wrestling however. Shiguemoto hasn’t shown any indication thus far in his career that he’s overly susceptible to takedowns, but with his lack of movement/tendency to remain stationary, and the pressure from Khizriev it’s bound to happen. The pick for this fight on DWCS this Tuesday is Khizriev, and it’s a confident pick.
