Michel Pereira is 6’1″ and has a 73″ reach. Pereira also has a muscular build and at 26 years old has struggled to make the cut down to 170lbs. For Pereira’s second fight in the UFC he fought Tristan Connelly, and missed weight before the fight. Then during the fight, which Connelly received a huge bonus for, Pereira jumped out to a fast start with amazing acrobatic strikes, only to gas out and lose a unanimous decision to the Canadian.
In Pereira’s last fight against Deigo Sanchez in February, he might have made weight but during the fight landed an illegal knee in the third round that ended up costing him the bout. Though Pereira has had success at 185lbs prior to the UFC he will again be at 170lbs for UFC Vegas 9.
