A heavyweight bout featuring Sergey Spivak and recent UFC newcomer Tom Aspinall is set for October 10.
The Daily Express was first to report that Team Kaobon’s Aspinall would make his sophomore trip to the octagon against “The Polar Bear.” Aspinall (8-2) was originally expected to make his promotional debut for the UFC in March, against Raphael Pessoa at the doomed UFC London card. However, when the coronavirus scrapped that event, Aspinall found himself waiting a few extra months before facing Jake Collier. The former middleweight and England’s Aspinall met on Fight Island in July, with Aspinall earning a knockout in all of forty-five seconds.
The was enough to earn the fighter out of Liverpool a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus.
Spivak (11-2) will enter the event off a win over Carlos Felipe, also on Fight Island in July. He’s been trading wins and losses since entering the UFC last year, when he was defeated by Walt Harris at UFC Ottawa. He bounced back by defeating Tai Tuivasa at UFC 243 last year, then dropped a fight to Marcin Tybura in February.
The UFC’s October 10 card does not have an official location announced, but it is likely that the promotion will return to Fight Island for several events in October.
The event currently has the following bouts attached to it:
Marlon Moraes vs. Cory Sandhagen
Rodolfo Vieira vs. Markus Perez

Alejandro Pérez vs. Thomas Almeida
