Flyweight (125lbs): 0-1 (UFC), The Ultimate Fighter Season 26 Participant
Emily Whitmire first came on the scene in the UFC after her participation in TUF Season 26 in 2017. Whitmire is now 29 years old and stands at 5’5″ with a 63″ reach.
TUF Season 26 introduced the brand new women’s flyweight division into the promotion. Emily won a fight and lost a fight on the show, before losing her fight on the finale card to Gillian Robertson. However, once Emily Whitmire began her octagon career outside of the TUF she opted to move down to the strawweight division. Whitmire got the ball rolling quickly at 115lbs by grabbing a unanimous decision victory over Jamie Molye followed by a first-round finish over Aleksandra Albu. Emily lost to the up-and-coming, hot prospect in Amanda Ribas back in June of 2019. And Emily was scheduled to take on Polyana Viana earlier this year at UFC 248 but missed weight coming in at 117.5lbs. The bout was going to proceed but, Whitmire had to be hospitalized because she got sick after a brutal weight cut. The bout was canceled and now it will proceed this Saturday at UFC Vegas 8.
