The UFC returns to PPV this weekend for UFC 252, with Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier bringing their trilogy to an end.
For all the bad blood that can flow in the build up to a fight, even between two professionals, the rivalry between Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier has been a more civil affair. It’s a trilogy defined by the accomplishments and abilities of the athletes themselves, rather than any showmanship or extra curricular activities.
Which makes it a heck of a lot more palatable than some main event pairings. What fans will witness Saturday is two heavyweights making their case for being the greatest in UFC history, if not of all time. And even if that debate is never settled, the fight should at least settle the question of who the better heavyweight between them is — barring the unlikely event of a draw.
Elsewhere on the card, Sean O’Malley gets the co-main event slot against Marlon “Chito” Vera, and ex-champ Junior Dos Santos faces off with the powerful Jair Rozenstruik.
The official weigh-in for the event took place Friday morning, with Herbert Burns and T.J. Brown both missing weight. They will each be fined 20% of their purse, and the show will go on. Check below for highlights from today’s weigh-in, plus face-offs. Full weigh-in results are available here.
