2. Return of Valerie Loureda:
With over 250K Instagram followers, and another 300K on Twitter, it is easy to forget Loureda is only 2-0 and 22 years of age. After a TKO victory due to hammerfists in her debut, Loureda had a unanimous decision win at Bellator 222. Her first time back in the Bellator cage since June of 2019, Loureda has never been more excited for a fight.
Looking healthy and on weight all of fight week, Loureda spoke with Cageside Press about her mentor Jorge Masvidal, and being a main sparring partner for Joanna Jedrzejczyk’s camp preparation for Weili Zhang. All of that shows that while her social media profile may raise eyebrows, she’s taking the fight business seriously.
Facing off against 1-1 Tara Graff whom we have not seen in the cage since 2018 due to some injury trouble, Loureda feels her talent can help her dominate anywhere the fight goes. Loureda is a definite reason to tune into Bellator 243.
