Jim Miller will look to continue his recent resurgence at UFC 252 in less than two week’s time. He’s been booked into a fight with Vinc Pichel, part of the preliminary portion of the event.
The PPV card takes place August August 15, and is headlined by the rubber match in the trilogy between Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier. UFC officials announced the Miller vs. Pichel news in a press release Wednesday.
Miller (32-14, 1NC) has won three of his last four bouts, most recently taking a submission win against Roosevelt Roberts. All of his last three wins have via submission, in fact. The lone loss in that stretch was a decision, against Scott “Hot Sauce” Holtzman.
The New Jersey native holds the record for the most UFC bouts, most submissions in lightweight history, and other accolades.
Pichel (12-2) coincidentally had his last fight against Roberts as well, a unanimous decision win for “From Hell.” Overall, he’s 5-2 in the UFC, dating back to 2012. Pichel has lost long periods of activity to injury, however. The Miller fight will be his first of 2020.
