Bellator MMA returns this Friday for it’s second show since resuming activities late last month. Bellator 243 sees a key lightweight rematch as its main event, as former multi-time Bellator lightweight champion Michael Chandler squares off with former UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson for the second time.
The pair’s first meeting in 2016 saw Chandler retain his title via a split decision. This time out, of course, there’s no belt on the line. But the winner of Chandler vs. Henderson 2 would appear to be a shoo-in for the next shot against current lightweight champ Patricio Pitbull.
When that shot may come remains to be seen, as Pitbull is currently taking part in the featherweight grand prix.
Also featured on the Bellator 243 card, heavyweights Matt Mitrione and Tim Johnson in the co-main event, plus Curtis Millender taking on Sabah Homasi, and Myles Jury facing off with Georgi Karakhanyan.
Weigh-in for the event takes place Thursday morning — check back for results starting at 9AM ET!
