Headlining tonight’s event will be Canadian prospect Tony Laramie (4-2-0) who is set to meet Bellator veteran Claudio Ledesma (16-8-0) in a five-round main event for the vacant PFC Flyweight title. Laramie last fought in September at PFC 11 against Darren Mima and took home a victory by knockout. He is coming into this fight on a two-fight win streak with both of those finishes coming in the second round.
The next featured bout includes Canadian Bantamweight Michael Imperato (8-4-0) who is set to face Matthew Skibicki (4-1-0). In 2014, Imperato was actually signed to the UFC for less than 24 hours before being immediately released. He was originally set to face Aljamain Sterling as a replacement at UFC Fight Night 55 in Sydney, Australia. This spring forward in his career was halted once footage was brought showing Imperato making racist and homophobic slurs on a Canadian docu-series titled: ‘Fight Xchange’. He later released an apology, though it had no impact on the UFC’s decision to terminate his contract.
Also on Sunday’s card, a pair of undefeated lightweight prospects will look to continue their winning ways. We had a chance to speak to both Adam De Freitas and Zackery Powell ahead of this one — don’t miss it!
