Undefeated Fabian Edwards will face off with fellow prospect Costello Van Steenis in the co-feature of Bellator: London this May.
Bellator MMA has added an intense middleweight co-main event for Bellator London on May 16, between Fabian Edwards and Costello Van Steenis.
Fabian Edwards (9-0) looks to continue his winning streak under the Bellator banner as he is 4-0 with the promotion. Costello Van Steenis (12-2) wants to bounce back after his most recent unanimous decision loss to John Salter back at Bellator 233. Prior to that he’d won six straight, four of which went down inside the Bellator MMA cage.
Fabian is already chomping at the bit and ready to fight, based on his most recent Instagram post.
Already this is shaping up to be a war between two rising stars in the Bellator Middleweight division. The fight joins the previously announced bantamweight main event, which sees Cal Ellenor vs. James Gallagher booked for the third time. Bouts scheduled for last year, and this month, both fell through for the pair, with first Ellenor, then Gallagher, withdrawing due to medical issues.
Bellator: London, which will take place at the SSE Arena, Wembley in London, will also see the debut of James Haskell. A former rugby star, Haskell will be making the transition to MMA and joining the promotion’s heavyweight division.
