Oliver Enkamp’s brief UFC stint did not go according to plan. In 2017-18, Enkamp lost back-to-back fights against Nordine Taleb and Danny Roberts that saw him exiled from the promotion. Heading into Bellator 240 in Dublin, Ireland on Saturday, however, Enkamp had ensured that his Bellator run got off on a better foot. He was coming off his Bellator debut (a win) entering the night, and was looking to make it 2-0 in the company against Lewis Long.
Enkamp went right to work at Bellator 240, pushing Lewis up against the cage and working in some knees. He then looked for at takedown, which Long defended via a guillotine. Enkamp would eventually pull free of the defensive submission, but the grappling along the fence continued.
Eventually, they’d break, moving to center where Long landed a well-timed takedown. Enkamp scooted back to the cage and was right back up, and in control. The pair exchanged knees, and Long again went for the standing guillotine. Enkamp prevailed, but ate a knee on the way up. Then, after a couple of kicks and single punches came up short, Enkamp pulled off a spinning back fist (landing more with the arm/elbow) that sent Lewis Long down! That was all she wrote, with Enkamp picking up his second Bellator win in style.
Official Result: Oliver Enkamp def. Lewis Long by knockout (spinning back fist), Round 1, 4:10
